Good evening. My first book, The Lost Hadith, coming June 8, is about an event I was privy to during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Having spent and worked my entire life in Middle Eastern Analysis, I have more stories to tell now that I am semi-retired. I thought it best I fictionalize these events, based loosely on actual ones. This first one is the most recent. Just after the invasion of Iraq in 2003, museums were raided and antiquities stolen. The US government then made it its mission, since we inadvertently caused all of this, to get back the missing artifacts and give them to the Iraqis. Some items were recovered, some not. This is where this story comes into play.
