Good evening PFLAG Ft. Lauderdale. Our next chapter meeting is Tuesday, August 20th at 7:00 PM. I know many of our chapter members are getting ready for the start of the new school year tomorrow. I know I have been busy with all the preparation for the big day. And for those whose kids are grown and in college or on their own, I am sure you can still remember that night before the big day. I think this day reminds many of us who have been part of our chapter that having a supportive family for LGBTQ youth makes every part of their lives better. We send our kids into the world to a society that still does not accept everyone equally. Our mission for PFLAG is to help create a better world for our kids and for others in our community. I hope that many of our members will come "back to school" for a PFLAG meeting to share your stories and be a teacher or mentor to new families that come through our doors. I look forward to seeing everyone Tuesday night and have a great start to the week!
