Good evening Richwood Citizens. Since the Nicholas Chronicle has expeditiously printed my resignation, I felt that it necessary to let the citizens of Richwood hear it straight from me. After lots of thought and prayers, I have decided to resign as Police Chief. I have a 15 yr old daughter that lives in KY and has some medical issues and I feel that I need to be closer to help out with her needs. With that being said I would like to thank everyone who has been so supportive and welcomed me to Richwood. I am so very thankful to the WV State Police as well as the Deputies from the Nicholas Co.Sheriffs dept. For all their assistance and patience with me while I got settled. I also would like to thank all of the local business owners/employees for welcoming me in as well. Thank you to all of the residents that has been supportive and active in helping keep the streets safe. And last but certainly not least, I would like to thank the Mayor & City Council members for giving me the opportunity to be the Chief of Police. I can only hope that I have served the City Of Richwood with great pride, honor and professionalism that the people of the city deserve. I will end by saying once again THANK YOU to everyone!
