Good evening! Temps dropping fast, 36.1°. A Hard Freeze warning for south Mississippi through tomorrow morning. Offshore winds will maintain cold and chilly tonight keeping temperatures 10 to 15° cooler than usual. Winds will start shifting tomorrow allowing temperatures to modify and warm to above average readings by Friday with high around 71°. Our next cold front will begin its slow trek across the area late Saturday night bringing another round of showers and storms. The front will be a slow mover keeping the chance of rain in the forecast through Monday morning. A few storms could be strong or severe. Low will be around 28°, so wrap exposed pipes, bring in plants, have a warm place for your pets and check on people who may not have heat. The area of high pressure will stay over us on Wednesday and this will keep the sunny skies around. It will not be as chilly with high around 57° Wednesday Night will not be as cold with low around 38° A warming trend begins on Thursday and lasts through the weekend. Thursday will be partly cloudy and mild with high around 67°. Thursday Night will not be as cold with low around 47°. High around 71° on Friday with partly cloudy skies after some morning fog. We will have a return of showers and thunderstorms on Saturday afternoon through Sunday Morning. Some of the storms could be strong to possibly severe.
