Good evening all, Earlier today the General Court of the European Union made a decision to remove the Islamic Palestinian Resistance Movement, Hamas from the black list as a terrorist organization. Many of you, my friends, have been urging me to comment. Though I appreciate your faith in me I had nothing to say as I didn’t have the facts. Less than two hours ago, Khalid Meshaal, the leader of Hamas in an exclusive statement to the Middle East Monitor (see link) clarified the situation somehow. https://middleeastmonitor/resources/interviews/15868-khaled-meshaal-speaks-to-memo-about-the-eus-decision-to-remove-hamas In my opinion, this is the court’s decision. It does not bind any government or any organization to but, of course, Mr. Netanyahu is livid. You know what? No matter how significant or insignificant this decision is, as far as I am concerned it is worth it simply because it might give that war criminal, Netanyahu a sleepless night or two. The serious point is, this is a very fluid situation and I shall refrain from giving it my thumbs up or thumbs down. Instead I shall wait and see what the next 24 hours brings to us. Good night all.
