Good evening all! I will start by saying that Janet and I have - TopicsExpress

Good evening all! I will start by saying that Janet and I have missed everyone! I know it may sounded odd to say of a facebook page / community, but its not odd at all in my book. So many of you are such an incredible blessing to Janet and our family. I just want want each of you to knows how valued you are! These past few days have been a little interesting. I will rewind a little bit and tell you about my experience on Thursday, and how these next few days have gone since. Thursday and Friday, I was able to be a part of a leadership conference (#LAUNCH) with 131 like-minded friends, representing at least 57 different companies nationwide. I was able to connect with many incredible people - many who are joining Janets army of prayer warriors. What a blessing this event was. In time, I will tell more about the conference itself. Its what happened Thursday evening that I wanted to share today. Thursday, after the daytime sessions had concluded, there was a celebration / meet and greet / networking time. After that, a very sweet couple drove me the few blocks back to where I had parked. As I got to my car, and my friends were pulling away, I noticed that I had left my cell phone in their car. With no way to contact them (or anyone at this point) I drove away. For anyone familiar with downtown St. Louis, youll know that it is full of one way streets. Miss the right one, and you may be out of luck for a bit. I bet you can see where this is headed. I got lost. Imagine my delight. No, not really. So, here I am driving (lost) in St. Louis. It is at this point I recognize the need for continued prayers. As I exited (unintentionally) the well lit streets, and ventured into housing areas, I knew Gods angels were surrounding me. As a young man was nearing the street, and then walking towards my car, I turned and exited down yes, another one way street. Following my own navigation (and obviously with Gods help) I finally made it back to areas I felt much more comfortable. Not too much later, I made it back to the highway and then back home. As I recounted the story with my kids and then my husband, I was at peace - knowing that God cares about every single detail of our lives. Sometimes trusting Him isnt easy - especially when the way isnt clear. However, He will provide. You see, friends, He loves us that much. If youre wondering - yes, I was able to connect with my friends and get my phone back yesterday. Happy indeed. If you are unaware (why, with all the random autocorrects my phone does from time to time) I update this page the majority of the time from my phone. Sometimes the computer, but my phone a decent amount. As such, Ive been missing writing for a few days. That said, I also believe it is vital to just unplug and rely less on technology. I found myself with more productivity, and I became more intentional with my time, business and family. Anyway, I just said all that to say this - do yourself a favor - try disconnecting (even if not fully) from technology, social media, YouTube, or just whatever you find yourself not being present with and for the ones you love and care about. Even justa shorty (but intentional) time would be good. It doesnt have to be all the time - just know your priorities, and figure out the things that are important to you. I also wanted to let everyones know that Janet has been, overall, doing pretty well. She wasnt thrilled today because she was home from school. She woke up to her tummy just not feeling the greatest. Thankfully, she doesnt have a fever. Im praying she wakes up happy and refreshed, with no tummy issues. Shes looking forward to seeing her friends. Alright, so...I know this was a somewhat scattered (and probably too long) message, but well chalk it up to having been a few days since last time! I do want to say thank you for your continued friendship, thoughts and prayers. Were grateful!
