Good evening everyone! How many native Odessans are in this group who are musicians whove played the night clubs in Odessa? Any great stories to share? What band(s) did you play in? Any recordings you can share? I was in a few bands, most notably an Alternative Rock band from 2006 to 2009 called Dead Bang GO! The band consisted of siblings Seth (vocals) and Marilyn (guitar) Benefield, formerly of Surrender Dorothy, myself on drums and our close friend, Adriana Molinar (bass). We made an EP in 2006 and and LP in 2007, but most of our songs did not get a chance to be recorded. This is one of my favorite songs called we wrote called Left To Fate. My most memorable gig was at the Roadhouse on Andrews Highway, just past 52nd Street. I believe the year was 2008. We were playing one of our few instrumental tunes when a bar fight broke out. It reminded me of that scene in the extended version of That Thing You Do! because the fight was so corny and silly. It turned out it was two brothers who couldnt find their car keys to go home, lol! So now its your turn to share. :)
