Good evening everyone, I hope youve had a good week and wish todays weather could stay with us. Ive so much to do outside. Still have shrubs to plant and much weed pulling to do. But if thats not do be done then I will be cleaning the house getting ready for Thanksgiving. Weather permitting tomorrow our featured guest Tom Turkey will make an appearance from Chickcharney Farm. This breed is called Marragansett and is an old heritage turkey, popular over 150 years ago. There used to be flocks well into the hundreds that the farmer would walk them from his farm, into to town ready to sell at markets. Can you imagine seeing a huge flock turkeys being droven/walked down a road into town? Live music by guitarist Kyle Scobie. So we have market tomorrow open 10 am - 12 noon. Next market is the pre-thanksgiving market. Tuesday afternoon 3 pm - 5 pm. Good time tomorrow to pre-order items you want to pick up from the farmers, bakers and crafters. CLOSED Saturday November 30th Reopen for our special HOLIDAY MARKET, December 7th open 9 am - 2 pm. This year we have added more artists and craft persons. Ill get out a list of what will be available to purchase for early Christmas shopping. CLOSED Saturday December 14th for the Wake Forest parade. Willow Oak Adventures - lamb meat & eggs. Son Rise Farm Crafts - handmade goats milk soap, kitchen wash cloths, hand woven or hand kitted shawls,hats, neck warmers, baby clothes. Chickcharney Farm - sprouts, handmade soap, chicken parts, eggs. Cultured Cow Creamery - raw and pasteurized cheddar cheese, parmesan cheese, maple smoked cheese, curds and introducing...gruyere cheese. Brogdens Produce - turnips, turnip greens, kale, collards, broccoli, sweet potatoes red & white. Triple B Farm - chicken, beef, pork & lamb meat, eggs. Heritage Farm - eggs & perennial plants.
