Good evening everyone! I’m Peyton Sloane and I’m thrilled to be talking with you for the next couple of hours. Firstly, let me thank the Raw crew for this opportunity, especially Mandy and Dani who’ve been holding my hand while the nerves set in. For those of you who don’t know anything about me … I’m a yearling Indie author with two books of a 3 part series “The Potential Trilogy” currently available - Exploration and Obstruction. They tell the story of Jazz Mickelson and Julian St. Sauveur. (Book 3 - Realization is cooking and anticipated release is early 2015) I’ve been an extreme bibliophile from an early age. I grew up in rural Canada, about an hour from Winnipeg (yeah, you all know who we are now we have a hockey team back, right?) and am a farm girl with no siblings. My parents never censored anything and we had an amazing extension library at the University of Manitoba of which I took extreme advantage. They sent out a new catalog every year and would ship books back and forth for free with a lend out term of 4 weeks. By the time I had was thinking about college, journalism was high on my list, unfortunately the school offering a degree was 1,500 miles away and I wasn’t ready for that kind of separation. Over the years there have been a myriad of stories running through my mind so making this step to seriously write, publish and have people read and love my work is a dream come true for me and the most epic event of my life...even over-shadowing marriage and buying my Harley. The thrill of every reader’s individual experience with my characters is a reward that can’t be expressed in words. Who’s joining me this evening?
