Good evening friends! ADC, SOSS Sanggu, MCA, and other student organizations will be collaborating to organize the #AteneansNeverForget Martial Law Awareness Campaign. One of the main undertakings will be the release of a declaration on the Ateneo student bodys commitment to never forget Martial Law and the Marcos Dictatorship, to dismantle the oppressive institutions that it left, and to fight for a truly liberating democracy. The declaration, we hope, will be published in the various media. I was tasked to write a draft of the declaration. Now, I hope you could share your thoughts on the following issues, as well as on other relevant issues: 1. Social memory and how forgiving the Filipino is 2. Marcosian institutions that persist 3. The conscious effort to revise history 4. Lack of appreciation for those martyred by the regime Thanks!
