Good evening friends and family, Its time to announce some big changes for the band. First, we are sorry to say that after bout a year playing drums with us, Brad Parker has decided to move on. His attempts at humor, complete dedication to nailing the most inappropriate comment at the absolute most inappropriate time, and occasional ability to play a song or two will never be forgotten. We all owe him and his family a huge thank you for the time he devoted to this band. Secondly, as most of you know, there seems to be some sort of S.F. city ordinance that requires either Dave Zirbel or Ian Taylor Sutton on pedal steel at every Americana/Roots/Country/Honky Tonk show that takes place in a 941xx zip code. We get Ian!! Weve been lucky enough to have him join us for a couple of shows now, so it seemed like a good time to add his talents and youthful good looks to the band. Hell be splitting duty between Sho-Bud and percussion while sporting the finest head of hair in the band. And rest assured, hell still be hitting the circuit with his other 17 bands. We all win. So there it is. The Colonels are spending this holiday season writing material for our new release, picking up a show or two, and wondering how in the hell we are going to keep a banjo, pedal steel and 12-string guitar all in tune. None easy tasks. Until next time, heres a quick 3:48 from yesterdays rehearsal to give you all an idea of where we are heading. Gracias, -The Colonels
