Good evening friends…my name is Baxter, and when I found Jamie’s Legacy, I was suffering from malnutrition. I was so hungry that I stuck my head into a large, empty cat food can just to lick the inside. That’s how Joan found me, starving and almost suffocated because my head was stuck in the can. It can be very hard sometimes for free roaming cats to find a regular food source, and so can easily have malnutrition. It isn’t just free roaming cats though, even loved and well cared for cats can have malnutrition because the food they eat isn’t giving them the right nutrients, or for some reason, emotional or medical, they stop eating.
