Good evening from birties ole time diner and sweet shop, located at 30007 state highway 79, locust fork, alabama 35097, directly across the highway from the dollar general store shopping center, amd our little yellow house sits beside the alfa insurance brick building. We are approximately 20 minutes north of pinson, alabama and about 20 minutes southwest of oneonta, alabama. Our telephone number is (205) 687-7279. We are open tuesday thru friday from 10:00 a.m. Til 8:00 p.m.. Our prices are a meat and three vegetables for $7.95 , a meat and two vegetables for $6.95, a meat and one vegetable for $5.95, a four vegetable plate for $6.95, a three vegetable plate for $5.95, or a two vegetable plate for $4.95. We also have fresh baked cakes, cobblers and home made ice cream each day, prices for these items range from $2.50 to $4.00 per slice or serving. All fried foods are skillet fried, all green beans and dry beans are seasoned with either bacon or ham. All other vegetables are seasoned with butter, margarine, or canola oil. All fried foods are fried in canola oil. We peel between 50 & 65 pounds of potatoes each day, for skillet fried potatoes, mashed potatoes, potato salad, and on cold days loaded potato soup. We have a different menu each day of the week that we are open. Tuesdays (August 5. 2014) menu is: roast beef and gravy, meat loaf, salmon patty (cooked when ordered), mashed potatoes, field pea, skillet fried potatoes, pinto beans, cole slaw, mac and cheese, potato salad, tossed salad, roll or cornbread. Our cobbler for tuesday is peach. Wednesdays (August 6, 2014) menu is: chicken-n-dressin, fried pork chop, chicken-n-dumplins, green beans, mashed potatoes, small dry lima beans, skillet fried potatoes, potato salad, tossed salad and rolls.
