Good evening from the Luvabee apiary here in Riverside, - TopicsExpress

Good evening from the Luvabee apiary here in Riverside, California. It’s already November 16th and our current temperature is 47F with an expected low of 43F with a RealFeel of 29 degrees. Today it has been extremely windy due to the Santa Ana winds. Our weather system reports that the wind is blowing at a steady 29 mph with frequent gusts of 34 mph. So you might be wondering, do honey bees fly during windy days? That answer is, yes!, So long as the wind doesnt prevent the honey bee from being able to fly safely! As promised, to start off this holiday season, Luvabee has put together a simple honey butter recipe to share. It only takes about 10 minutes to complete. You will need the following: 3/4 cup of room temperature butter (salted or unsalted) 1/4 cup of raw honey (of course we used Luvabee honey) 1-mixing bowl 1-spatula 1-storage container As seen in the photos, Mrs. Luvabee began by breaking down the soft butter into a paste like substance. The Luvabee honey was then added and mixed in with the butter. You’ll spend several of the 10 minutes just mixing and creaming the two ingredients together. After five minutes the texture was checked to see how smooth it was inside the mixing bowl. Once you like the consistency, transfer it into a storage container and refrigerate. Thats it! This recipe makes about 8 servings. Next week, Luvabee will be making honey oat bread in our bread maker. Of course we will be using our honey butter recipe from this week to enjoy with the bread, too! Let us know if you enjoy the honey based recipes and if the response is good, we will continue to post a monthly recipe for you to try. Enjoy the honey butter and please share with us what you put it on or added to it to make more your own…Luvabee!
