Good evening ladies. I pray that this day finds you feeling strong - TopicsExpress

Good evening ladies. I pray that this day finds you feeling strong in faith and closer than ever in your relationship with the Father. I heard it said once that if you can’t say you’re the closest you’ve ever been to God right NOW, then you’re backsliding. Something to think about. We should always be moving forward and growing. We should never become stagnant in our Christian growth. Please take a moment to seek God’s presence in prayer before continuing. Psalm 139:23-24 (NIV) states: “Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” When I first gave my life to Christ I came across my local Christian music station and heard one of the radio personalities read this verse. She related it in such a personal way that it made a lasting impact on me in that I now try to start my day with this as my prayer. We can get caught up in our day going through the motions with our deadlines and appointments. It’s easy to forget that this is all temporary! We can easily get carried away by things that are happening around or to us, and just react; whether it’s a poor reaction in general or a reaction towards someone else. We can easily get frustrated at something and think a thought that isn’t pleasing to God. We can miss an opportunity to minister or witness to someone; sometimes because we don’t take the time to notice but often because we don’t want to take the effort. I encourage you to speak these words to God as you end your day and again as you begin your day tomorrow; Then keep them in mind throughout the day tomorrow to allow God to do a sort of “heart check-up”. God is faithful to us and He is so willing to give us everything we need to do His will for our lives. All we have to do is ask! Anytime if you have a few minutes to rest and reflect, pray this prayer to God and be receptive to what He has to say in response. Then be ready to act upon that. He may point out someone you need to apologize to. He may point out a missed opportunity to share His love. But He will also open your eyes to future opportunities and give you all that you need to respond as He would have you to. Who’s up to the challenge? Prayer: Father God, search us and know our hearts. Try us and know our thoughts. If there is any offensive way in us, whether it be word or action, or LACK of word or action, help us to correct that thing and lead us in Your way, the way everlasting. We’ll be careful to give You the praise and glory. In Christ’s most holy and precious name we ask, Amen.
