Good evening ladies and gentlemen! It is my pride and privilege to be here today with so many great people around. It is amazing to see all of you who are in support of my co-UWAAPian, Ms. Marivel Galang, on her first solo exhibit. What a beautiful ambience we have here today, not to mention the fine collection of artworks that underlines the commitment of an artist like Ms. Marivel to promote art and culture. She truly embodies an inspiring example of unfailing commitment to art. Despite the many personal challenges that continue to confront her, she has undoubtedly remained focused with such admirable calmness, dignity, and dedication to the performance of her duties both as a doting mother and a professional artist. The same applies to how she carries herself during our group meetings and art sessions. Every time, Marivel has consistently inspired and showed her concern for our members. What a woman everyone would surely want to emulate! Marivel is indeed a visual artist whose talents lie across a vast list of media and scales from painting, illustration, and teaching.Despite her amazing range of artwork, in each of them permeates the richness of her beautiful style. Today, let us welcome Marivel, a woman and artist who looks at a world beyond to seek inspiration in creating such unique style that is hers and hers alone.
