Good food is a comfort to me, and oysters are as good as food gets. I used to go to OysterFest when I lived in the Lacey, WA area, and it was a wonderful event, far better than many big-city shindigs put on by larger and richer organizations. But seriously, how can you go wrong with an event centered around oysters? With good food comes solace. You forget your troubles and life becomes mellow. Instead of thinking about the guy who owes you money for the work you did for him who refuses to pay, for the moment you think about the aroma, taste, texture and sensual delight that is before you and with which you are about to become one. And when theyre Puget Sound oysters -- well, lets just say they cant be beat. How anyone can not be enamored of Gods perfect food is beyond me.
