Good humping today........so, get to it!! Sales meeting all day yesterday. This one is where all of the sales people, get up in front of the smart board, and tell about their year so far.....successes and failures, and where we expect to be at the end......Then, the operations guys ( Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, etc.) do their schtick.....it is actually a great exercise. We started doing it back in the mid nineties, when there were only about 6 people involved, in the basement of the West End YMCA. Now, there are about 20 people, and we have a fancy meeting room just for this type of stuff on site so, it must be working!!!! The people who own The Workaday Working Company , The Workaday Family, are very good people, and I have loved my 25 years there!! Today, we have JUST the sales people meeting off-site to drill down, from yesterdays info. It promises to be much looser, and more crass........these are some hard boiled sales veterans......my brothers. Tomorrow, we have a team exercise at Kirtland CC.......YAY!!!! Band practice tonight and again tomorrow. Golf and tennis on Friday. Gig on Saturday, and a golf outing on Sunday for Port Royal Cigars. Sales continue to rebound well from a less than enthusiastic July.......August will be so-so, but September should be great!!! My sales book about 4-6 weeks in advance of shipment . Soon, I will be casting my eye on October.......Hoping your day is good. Much love. David
