Good information from the White House Council of Economic Advisors: We’re starting to get our economy back on its feet. 2014 was the best year for job growth since 1999. Our economy is growing and the deficit is shrinking. Health insurance is more affordable, gas prices are dropping and renewable energy use is increasing. Now is not the time to let political divisiveness derail our economic progress. In this new Congress, we need to work together to strengthen the middle class by investing in infrastructure, reforming our tax code in a way that will support small businesses, making sure our education system leaves no one behind, and continuing to pursue an all-the-above energy strategy.
