Good intention is not a reason to support bad legislation. To - TopicsExpress

Good intention is not a reason to support bad legislation. To promote/protect competition, the Justice Dept reviews the mergers of major businesses. However, with the Affordable Care Act, the government is taking over the health care industry; the CEO’s even meet with the President to be told how the newly formed health department is to function. This is not competition but collusion. Then, the insurance policy content is dictated by government regulators and the people’s choice is to pay the premium. Our freedom/rights are not, in the face of these regulations. This and so much more is being committed for the good intent of health insurance for those who don’t have it. Good execution towards a worthy ideal, not simply good intention, warrants support. Letter to the Monterey Herald
