Good luck to all the athletes racing over the next 10 days at Ruapehu. Weather is looking good and theres heaps of new snow to see us through the holiday break! TEAM NSC athletes recently competed in the NIPS and NISSSC races held at Ruapehu over the last fortnight. Many of the Clubs Program athletes skied very well with many Top 10 placings, incl in their teams. Most of these athletes trained mid week at Snowplanet in preparation doing the extra miles... Well done TEAM! TOP 10 Results include: NIPS SENIOR GIRLS Jenna Johnson 3rd (1st Senior Girls Dio A) Katie Crawford 5th (1st Senior Girls Dio A) Molly Crawford 9th NIPS JUNIOR BOYS Toby Irvine 3rd NIPS INTERMEDIATE BOYS Gibson Nevill 1st/ SkierCross 1st Miller Stewart 2nd Henry Mandeno 10th NISSC JUNIOR MENS Rhys Davies 5th (Kristin A 2nd =) Joseph Farnsworth 6th (Ak Grammar B 4th) Hugo Jamieson 9th (Ak Grammar B 4th) NISSSC JUNIOR WOMENS Essadora Baxter McCasey 2nd Hannah Crawford,Olivia Cartwright,Hannah Laurie: (Dio A 2nd Womens/6th= ) Laura Jackson (Kristen A 2nd = ) Halaina Cato Symonds (Dio B 1st ‘Best New Team’ ) NISSC SENIOR MENS Oscar Halliwell 3rd NIPS had good weather, but NISSSC was not so kind with 50-100m visibility and only one GS race run. Also congratulations to club members who had good results in their respective races incl Sophia Ullrich, Zack Limbrick-Jones, Sophie Grenfell, Louis Lempriere, Isabelle Lempriere, Will Cashmore, Alexia Preston and George Fitzgerald. Whew!
