Good morning ADHD Family! Its a brisk 37 this am in Reedsburg Wisconsin. The boys have been doing great in school this far. Homework woes however are the biggest struggle. Both boys will completely shut down. I had my oldest roll himself in a ball and cry in frustration. Thats harsh. My youngest son who is 11 is struggling with a lot of things himself. His dad and I have been separated for over 9 months now. I think sometimes dad says things that kind of confuse him. He has a lot of anxiety and depression. He acts out alot with a lot of swearing at times. (No judgement please on these kind of posts. When youre up here and put in this kind of situation sometimes you feel lost. There is no right answer) It is so hard to see him like that and the situation is complicated. Both boys are great, beautiful, wonderful, special, and unique. However I am very very proud of them because the other day they saved their dads life. I got to call for my oldest son who is 13. He said that his dad was not acting right and it was pretty sure that had to do with his type 1 diabetes. I had him very, take his blood sugar and it was only 22. I came across tell it assessed his dad and we ended up having to call an ambulance. If it werent for them noticing him that he might not be here today. Theres a couple things that I want to bring up. We have a lot of people in our group now. In total we have over 40,000 people. Please remember this is a support group. We try to give you everything you need to try to help you including having a built in advocate, who is a professional, to answer questions. Our motto is to advocate, educate, and support. Sometimes I think we get a little passionate about how we feel but we all need to make sure we are being careful about what we say to another parent. We are all in different points in our ADHD journey. We all need to respect that we take different avenues as well... in the one is right or wrong..Nasty rude or downright ugly comments will be deleted and if it keeps up, I will take you out if the group. I am so very proud of what we have created and what we have become. Keep up the great work I know that you are not alone we are all here for you. Love and hugs...Andrea L.
