Good morning Beloit. It is a cool 48 degrees out there, but it is actually a pretty nice morning so far. We hope you are going out to enjoy your Saturday. Remember, today is one of the last Farmers markets. If you are in need of lots of great stuff from soap to tamales and all kinds of fruit and veggies in between, go and visit. You will not be disappointed I guarantee. There are a bunch of businesses all around the market area that we are so lucky and proud to have as well. We hope you support them. I was glad to get to go and see our BMHS football team play last night while working. We didnt post a W, but I will say that the students that braved the weather were really great and supportive of their team. It was also Senior night, and we would like to salute the folks who were honored. We also salute their parents as you are obviously a huge part of making your students be successful as students and as athletes. We hope those seniors go off and do great things and represent their home town with honor and class. Nice job to the Cheerleaders, the Jazz band, the ROTC Honor Guard, the students, parents, and the staff working for supporting all of the seniors. (sorry if I missed anyone) We had a pretty uneventful evening. We hope that those of you who might be out on the town tonight remember to have a sober driver. We want everyone to make it home safely. As much as we like hanging out with you all, we would much rather not meet in our booking area. We would lastly like to say our prayers to the 2 McHenry County Deputies that were shot and injured. It sounds like they will be okay, but we are hoping that all continues on a positive recovery path for them. We have had the occasion to get to work with some of those folks from McHenry, and this is pretty close to home obviously. We are glad that the suspect is in custody.
