Good morning Bristow Bears. Today is April 7th, 2014 All students who have talent and want to compete for the Mr. or Mrs. Bristow title during our Spring Rally, come to a brief meeting in room 4 on April 9th during both lunches. Attention 6th and 7th Graders: Do you like making new friends? Taking photos? Digital Scrapbooking? If so, then yearbook is the class for you!! Come to a meeting in room 21 during both lunches next Wednesday, April 9th to hear about the class and to get an application. Space is limited so sign up soon!! All 6th and 7th graders who want to have a positive impact at Bristow, apply to be part of the Friends of Rachel (FOR) class! You will have the opportunity to put on lunch time games, school activities and chain linking ceremonies, as well as bring exciting assemblies like Keith Hawkins and Camfel to our school! You can also help the community through events like, Kids Against Hunger and Brentwood Community Chest. Come to a brief information meeting with Mrs. Terry in Room 4 on April 24th during both lunches. Photography Club: Your “Spring” pictures are due by Monday evening, April 7th. Our next meeting will be Thursday April 10th. See you there! Have you bought your 2013-2014 Bristow Middle School DVD that will include clubs, classes, the Mecca feed, sports, activities such as the spelling B, decathlon, and so much more! For the next two weeks, the Memory DVD is on sale for $10 through Mrs. Tipton’s window. Please give her $10 and let her know who your advisory teacher is. Don’t miss out on the memories that will last you forever! Calling all current 6th and 7th graders! Do you see yourself as a leader? Would you enjoy serving your community and school? Do you want to be involved in creating Bristow’s dances, socials, spirit days, class comp, rallies and more!! Then Leadership is the Elective for you! Come to Room 30 during your lunch on April 16th to get a Leadership application and find out more about this awesome opportunity. Come on out to for a chance to a Bristow leader! Don’t be late!! This quarter the Environmental Art Club will be making decorative bowls from recycled magazines. So gather up your old magazines from home and join the club. We begin today during B lunch in room 25, but you can join on any Monday! The club could also use your old magazines so please donate your old magazines to Mrs. Norris in room 25. Thank you, The Environmental Art Club Attention Bristow artists! Would you like to have your work entered into the Brentwood Community Art Show in the new City Hall? If so bring an original high quality work of art to Mrs. Slay in room 21 by April 25th. Only 15 can enter the art show so do your best work. No lined paper or sculptures please.
