Good morning Bristow Bears. Today is April3rd, 2014 Attention 6th and 7th Graders: Do you like making new friends? Taking photos? Digital Scrapbooking? If so, then yearbook is the class for you!! Come to a meeting in room 21 during both lunches next Wednesday, April 9th to hear about the class and to get an application. Space is limited so sign up soon!! Photography Club: Your “Spring” pictures are due by Monday evening, April 7th. Our next meeting will be Thursday April 10th. See you there! Have you bought your 2013-2014 Bristow Middle School DVD that will include clubs, classes, the Mecca feed, sports, activities such as the spelling B, decathlon, and so much more! For the next two weeks, the Memory DVD is on sale for $10 through Mrs. Tipton’s window. Please give her $10 and let her know who your advisory teacher is. Don’t miss out on the memories that will last you forever! Calling all current 6th and 7th graders! Do you see yourself as a leader? Would you enjoy serving your community and school? Do you want to be involved in creating Bristow’s dances, socials, spirit days, class comp, rallies and more!! Then Leadership is the Elective for you! Come to Room 30 during your lunch on April 16th to get a Leadership application and find out more about this awesome opportunity. Come on out to for a chance to a Bristow leader! Don’t be late!! Earth Day is fast approaching, and so is a new club being offered here at Bristow on Monday’s during B lunch in Mrs. Norris’ room #25. Environmental Factoid: Did you know:There is a growing global movement to significantly reduce the amount of trash we produce as communities, cities, countries and even regions. It’s called the zero-waste movement. The Environmental Art Club is a new club at Bristow that hopes to help minimize the amount of waste that goes into our community’s landfills. Our first mission is to lessen the impact of magazines that are thrown away and put into our landfills. The Environmental Art Club will be making decorative bowls from recycled magazines. So gather up your old magazines from home and join the club. We will begin Monday April 7th during B lunch in room 25, but you can join on any Monday! If you can’t join the club due to prior commitments but still would like to help out with the zero-waste movement? Please donate your used magazines to room 25. We will need them! Thank you, The Environmental Art Club Attention Bristow artists! Would you like to have your work entered into the Brentwood Community Art Show in the new City Hall? If so bring an original high quality work of art to Mrs. Slay in room 21 by April 25th. Only 15 can enter the art show so do your best work. No lined paper or sculptures please. See Mrs. Slay if you have any questions.
