Good morning Bristow Bears. Today is August 29th, 2014. Tomorrow morning during advisory all students and staff will meet in the quad for a school wide gathering. The FOR Club will lead us once a month in a school wide gathering in the Paw Quad. Next Friday is neon day. Come to school dressed up in your favorite 80’s neon colors for class spirit points. Right now, 7th grade is in the lead with grade level points! Great job to all the students who packed food yesterday for Kids Against Hunger, a humanitarian food-aid organization whose goal is to significantly reduce the number of hungry children in the USA and to feed starving children throughout the world. Students, please make sure you are bringing in your pop tabs & box tops to your advisory classes. Students, check out Bristow’s facebook page! Bristow is very proud of our VERY OWN Mr. Cornell for taking on the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge! Great job Mr. Cornell supporting a charity! The Parents Club is collecting change in your advisory classrooms to purchase emergency supplies for the teachers and school. Please drop off your spare change and start collecting for the class competition change drive! There is no school Monday September 1st because of Labor Day. Labor Day is a public holiday or day of festivities held in honor of working people, in the US and Canada on the first Monday in September, It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of their country. Attention Snow Club Members! Our next meeting is this Tuesday, September 2nd in room 23 at 8:10. Make sure you bring your planner so we can plan out our year. Questions? Tickets will go on sale at Mrs. Tipton’s window on Wednesday, they are $5 in advance and $10 at the door. You must have your photo ID to purchase a ticket. Don’t miss out on the fun and buy a ticket early! FOR club will be having their first meeting on Tuesday, September 2, during both lunches in the exercise room.
