Good morning, Bulldog family. When the current board of directors - TopicsExpress

Good morning, Bulldog family. When the current board of directors was voted in this year, we made a promise to this organization to build the organization up and make it the best possible youth sports organization in the area for your children. Since making that promise, we feel confident in saying that with your help, the help of many volunteers, the assistance of our community and our sponsors, we have accomplished that goal. We gave all our coaches and board members strict warnings regarding conduct that could be damaging to the organization and the implications such behavior could result including their dismissal. With that being said, making this organization the best it can be, means having to make tough decisions to protect the organization so that Zephyrhills Bulldogs, Inc can thrive in the community for many years to come. Over the last couple weeks, many parents have come to board members, citing their concern and voicing various complaints concerning the head coach of our Mighty Mite division of our football program. The board of directors, keeping it’s promise to faithfully listen to the parents this season, took note of these complaints. Other incidents also occurred, which forced the Board of Directors to hold a meeting on 07/29/2014 to discuss these problems. During that meeting, it was motioned, seconded and unanimously approved to dismiss the head coach of our Mighty Mite program. We understand that with some parents this might not be a very popular decision, but it is one that had to be made. We know that similar problems arose last season on this division, and we as a board felt the need to act now, rather than later so a new head coach did not have to take over mid-season. As of 07/30/2014, the new head coach for our Mighty Mite division will be Rick Barge. We feel very confident that with his leadership and the assistance of the four assistant coaches on that program, that we will have a very successful year. The Board of Directors, will faithfully stand by our decision in this matter and we will move forward trying to make this organization the best youth sports organization it can possibly be. As always, we value your opinions and should you need to talk to myself or any other board member, we welcome you to do so. Adam Wilkes Athletic Director
