Good morning FB. Im teaching my Sunday School class about the characteristics of a Christian. Each Sunday we are going to discuss one or two, as time allows. I chose to talk about the characteristic of love this past Sunday as I feel, love is so important, love can change a persons life, attitude, way of thinking and give them hope. Look what Jesus love done for us. It hung on a cross and died for our sins. He didnt choose to go back to Heaven and say I wish I could have helped those poor souls or I wish I could have done something. He show cased His love with arms stretched wide, hands and feet nailed to the cross, and with His last breath, said Father forgive them. I wish I had this kind of love for others. We are commanded to love our neighbor as ourselves. My question is, do we, love anyone more than ourself? Its so easy for us to love family and close friends, to extend a helping hand to those we know deserve it, but what about those that are mean, hateful, and undeserving? Before you decide who deserves your love, kindness or help, ask yourself this question, did I deserve, every drop of Jesus blood to be poured out? Do I deserve the life Jesus has allowed me to have? Then after you answer, honestly, go ahead and extend your love and kindness to someone, change their day, maybe their life. Love is honesty, love is kindness, love is hope, love has no boundaries, love is friendly, love is help, love is an extension of who you are. But most of all love is sacrifice. Showcase your love today, smile, be kind, lend a helping hand, watch love make a difference.
