Good morning FBF and especially the prayer warriors. As some of you are aware, Victory University in Memphis IS CLOSING ITS DOORS. No one knew (well, someone knew) until Channel 3 News broadcast this on their early morning newscast yesterday. Needless to say, upwards of 1,600 students and hundreds of staff were shocked and hurt to receive this sudden news in the middle of the school year. THIS IS THE COLLEGE WHERE MY GRANDDAUGHTER, ERIKA, IS A GRADUATING SENIOR. Needless to say, she is devasted and spent most of yesterday talking and talking to other people also affected. She was to return off spring break only to find that school was locked and per info from the news, will remain closed another week. Now, my prayer warriors, please be in prayer that she will be able to get transferred to another college that will accept all her credits (which is what we ran into yesterday after making contact with several local colleges). Victory is a Christian College and in the beginning Erika had to take many required Bible courses which are not required by other schools, thus, those credits wont count towards of total credits required to graduate. There are so many rumors about what will happen for those that are supposed to graduate but no confirmation from the school yet. She is distressed and and feeling defeated. As Ive told her, GOD IS IN CONTROL. Please pray for her and others affected that God will give them peace in the middle of this storm and that she WILL graduate, even if its a bit later than expected. I want her not to give up now.
