Still auditioning Godhead figures. The Christian God seems to be the one capable of raising the most capital, but I sorta wanted my cult do be different, you know, off the beaten path. If I were a democrat then government or Lenin or someone like that could be our god, but, I so detest socialism (I believe in America today a socialist cult would be a big hit). May just invent a deity, I mean arent we due for a new god? Have the old gods not failed us far too many times already? Historically, gods were invented to solve problems, to be the explanation for the unexplainable. So, there are a lot of unexplanable problems in America today, such as the urban youth practice of saggin (WTF pull your damn pants up!!!!) or the FB phenomenon of the duck lip face, or the fascination some people have with Justin Bieber (celebrity worship in general for that matter), and, perhaps worst of all, the deliberate dumbing down of society, as evidenced by the sometimes almost indecipherable gibberish people post of FB. But, I ask, are any of these problems important enough to invent a religion in order that they be solved? I mean who is going to tremble in fear before the god of correct gramar? I hereby absolve you of your sins, say 1500 there, theyre, theirs and 2000 youre, yours as absolution my son. Imagine the holy wars followers of the grammar god might have over issues such as compound contraptions, ie youdve . Looking at all the book of SLAP entries I have composed over the last 12 years or so, I am left with the conclusion that reason, logic, science and intellect are the only virtues worthy of a new god. Looking at the world around me, members of this cult are going to VERY hard to find.
