Good morning, Fairview. The store at the crossroads has alway been the hub of the community, and before Fairview Grocery, there was Blacks Store. It was the hub of the community, it was the gathering place - a place to hear the news of the community, who was sick, who had died, who needed help. It was the heart of the community, and Jim and Louise Black were the essence of that heart. In these last few years, Jim has suffered with Alzheimers. Alzheimers is a very cruel disease - it robs the mind and spirit before it takes the body. It has taken its toll on Jim. Please be much in prayer for peace and comfort for Jims family during this time. And when you say your thanks during this season of Thanksgiving, say a special thank-you for good friends and good neighbors, just like the ones we have in Fairview. Stay safe, Fairview.
