Good morning Family & Friends. There is laid up for me a crown of righteousness. Timothy 4:8 Some of us fear we shall never enter heaven. Fear not! all who trust, believe, & live according to the Word shall enter there. I recall reading a quaint saying of a dying man, who exclaimed, I have no fear of going home; I have sent all before me. God’s finger is on the latch waiting to grant me entrance.“ We have a crown in heaven just for us which even the angel Gabriel cannot wear, it will fit no head but ours. There is thrones in heaven which Paul the apostle cannot fill; it was made for us, and we shall have it.” O Christian, what a joyous thought! Our portion is secure & there remain a rest. If we continue to be childen of God we shall not lose it. Come with me, Family & Friends believe and let us all stand on the mountain top, and view the godly land. See that little river of death glistening in the sunlight, and across it we shall see the pinnacles of the eternal city. Let us mark the pleasant country, and all its joyous inhabitants. Know, then, that if we could fly across we would. We shall be caught up to dwell for ever with God. Poor doubting ones we are, may we see the fair inheritance; it is ours. As long as we believe in the Lord Jesus, if weve repented of sin, if weve been renewed in heart, we are one of the Lord’s people, and there is a place reserved for us, a crown laid up for us, a harp specially provided for us. No one else shall have our portion, it is reserved in heaven for us, and we shall have it, for there shall be no vacant thrones in glory when all the chosen are gathered in.
