Good morning Gardeners everywhere. Definitely a lot cooler this morning. I had to put on a cardy to sit and have my breakfast cuppa on the patio. There are more and more fallen leaves starting to appear, some I suspect blown down by the winds we have had in Jersey for the last few days. I must get him indoors mobilised with broom and shovel soon. I am trying to spend as much time as I can in the garden enjoying what is left of the wonderful Summer. A lot of this time of course, will be tidying up and pruning and planting my pansies, violas and primulas for the Autumn, but some of it, will be basking in the cooler but still bright sunshine, albeit with the faithful old cardy on, during the early part of the day. I start to feel a little tinge of sadness at this time of year, the impending loss of the wonderful and vibrant summer plant colours, is hard, but then I think, very soon along will come all the new bedding plants to enjoy and of course my favourites, the Pansies with their cross little faces, they do so cheer me up. In the Autumn I will be able to enjoy my new little friends, then the Winter will come and they will go to sleep and next Spring wake and nod their pretty little heads in my direction once again, and so the wonderful cycle of nature goes on.....and isn’t it a joy?
