Good morning God Another beautiful late summer morning youve given us. Crosby is enjoying some sunbeams, and Shadow is exploring the lower yard, looking for great smells. There a squirrel directly above me in the tree scolding the cat for existing while he eats maple seeds. The fire beside me takes a bit of the early morning chill away, although I constantly smell like smoke lately, and the second cup of coffee is tasting might good. Reflecting on wonderful friends this morning, and more broadly to all the people in my life, some near, some far. Some close friends, some just casual acquaintances, but youve brought each into my life for a reason. This morning, some of them are hurting because the earthly life of a loved one has ended. We know this is a natural part of the cycle of life, andwe rejoice in the time we had with them, but its still painful to let go. Others are dealing with the loss of a relationship, which can feel like a loss through death. We still go through the same grieving process. Some are lonely, because even surrounded by friends who love them, theres not a special person in whos arms they feel loved. Some are lonely due to estrangement. How can someone whom you thought loved you not want to be a part of your life. Some are dealing with health issues; either their own or in someone for whom they care. More than I could have possibly imagined are dealing with depression; either chronic or situational. Others are dealing with other illness affecting their state of mind. Others are facing financial or job issues, making life difficult to sustain. Some are wrestling life altering addictions, so difficult to overcome. God, youve given me the gift of experience, so I can fully comprehend what each is feeling, and I thank you for that. May I ask that you be with each of the people in my circle who need you today, and allow me to be one simple thread in the fabric of your love for each of us. Love Fred
