Good morning HCSO. I am writing to you this morning to inform the community about an incident my husband, Mike Vucetich, and I were involved in last night. We were heading south on I25 around 10:30 pm. Someone had the decency of dropping a water balloon off the Davis road bridge at the county line. Unfortunately, going about 65 due to the fog and 15 degree weather, my windshield was very badly damaged and the water froze causing 0 visibility. We are very lucky that we did not sustain any injuries and its just a windshield which can be replaced. Had the circumstances and timing been different, there may have been more serious consequences. The Huerfano County Sheriffs Office has been assisting the CSP for months in trying to find whoever it is that has been doing this. CSP is looking at criminal mischief charges when they do find them. The only thing we have for a description is we saw a pick up and a car on the bridge. If there are any members of the community who may have any idea who is doing this, please notify the authorities before someone loses their lives for the frivolous and senseless stupidity of others.
