The Labour Party in Ogun state as well as the Peoples Democratic Party and the faction of the All Progressives Congress led by one-time governor, Olusegun Osoba, will work together to ensure that Governor Ibikunle Amosun does not return to the state Government House, Oke-Mosan, come 2015 general elections. This disclosure was made Sunday night to DailyPost by a former Governor of the state, Otunba Gbenga Daniel. In an exclusive interview, OGD as fondly called, said his recent consultative meetings with the governor-elect of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose and other prominent stakeholders was all geared towards dethroning the Amosun-led administration. 2. Internet fraudsters have opened some accounts in the social media in the name of the Sokoto State Governor, Al haji Aliyu Wamakko. Confirming the development, Malam Abubakar Dangusau, special assistant on press affairs to the governor, advised members of the public to beware of such fraudsters and to disregard all messages from Facebook on behalf of the Governor. 5. Weeks after the Ekiti State election, where the PDP emerged victorious, the APC has approached an election petition tribunal sitting in Abuja to challenge the outcome of the election, which it said was stylistically rigged. Details of the petition have not been made available to Mr. 10 Things yet. 6. People of Chibok in Borno state have said that they no longer have hope that the military can protect them against Boko Haram, hence they should be relocated before they are wiped out by the sect. Different Chibok residents who spoke with journalists in a Media briefing made the demands. 7. The Nigeria Navy at the weekend, took steps to clear the traffic jam in the Apapa area for easy movement. The Force said it had deployed a large number of its officers and men to work along other security agencies to ensure flow of vehicular movement in the area. 8. The 9 PDP lawmakers in Edo state have vowed to continue plenary despite that court ruling that barred them from sitting. They said they will commence sitting as from today at the Anthony Enahoro Assembly, arguing that they have already appealed the High Court ruling. 10. Delta State Governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan had during the weekend warned students in the state’s tertiary institution to avoid cultism and other social vices, saying that any student caught indulging in such activities will be expelled. Uduaghan spoke at the first convocation ceremony of the state polytechnic, Ozoro, Delta state.
