Good morning, Here is todays forecast. England, Wales & Channel Islands: For parts of central and eastern England we have a cloudy start this morning, but the sun has already started to burn through in places and the clouds will soon disperse here. Elsewhere for England, Wales and the Channel Islands the morning starts off in fine fashion with plenty of warm sunny spells on offer with one or two spots of fair weather cloud about. For the afternoon the fine conditions continue with plenty of warm sunshine around, there will be some variable cloud at times and parts of the North East coast may see cloud linger for much of the afternoon. As the heat and humidity rises, parts of central southern England, west Midlands, South West and also southern areas of Wales, there will be a risk of an isolated thunderstorms for the afternoon/Evening, with the threat of localised heavy rainfall. Very warm again today with temperatures widely ranging from 24°c - 27°c, again some southern areas will push towards the 30°c. Temperatures in the North East will be slightly cooler under any lingering cloud cover. Scotland, NI & Isle of Man Another generally fine day in store for much Scotland, there will be plenty of sunny spells on offer along with some variable cloud amounts during the day, there will be a low risk of a shower in western areas but most places remaining fine. For parts of eastern Scotland, especially coastal regions, we may see cloudy conditions remain throughout much of the day. For the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games this evening, conditions should remain dry, however, there is a low risk of a light shower in the area as conditions tend to cloud over this evening. Feeling very warm with temperatures ranging from 20°c - 25°c, possibly up to 27°c in the sunnier spots. Feeling much cooler on the East coast underneath the cloud cover, with temperatures only in the mid to late teens. A much better day in store for NI today with plenty of sunny spells on offer and feeling very warm as a result. For the Isle of Man it will also be a fine day with plenty of warm sunshine, however, during the evening we may see some cloud roll in from the East. Temperatures for NI could reach as high as 27°c, generally around 24°c. Feeling warm and pleasant for the Isle of man with temperatures up to 21°c. Have a wonderful day!! Stuart.
