Good morning, Here is your forecast for the 8th of July. Sunshine and showers will be the theme again for the UK, heavy & thundery showers for eastern areas. England, Wales & Channel Islands: Despite the fine start for parts of the Midlands, East Anglia and the south east of England, showers will soon build for the afternoon but as is the nature with showers, not everywhere will see them, parts of northern England are already being affected by showers but conditions here should improve this afternoon, however, one or two isolated showers may crop up. For north eastern England showers will remain for most of the day with some turning heavy & thundery during the afternoon. Much of eastern England including, Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Norfolk will also be affected by these heavy thundery showers this afternoon, most of the showers will remain isolated but due to the slow moving nature, a threat of localised flooding will exist. For the rest of England, Wales and the Channel Islands, sunshine and showers will be the theme, the showers will be well scattered so we will see plenty of sunny spells around with variable cloud amounts. Temperatures ranging between 14°c - 20°c, warmest in the South East. Scotland, NI & Isle of Man: A wet start for some western and southern areas of Scotland this morning, cloudier elsewhere but the clouds will start to break as we head to onto the afternoon, however, showers will soon build and will become heavy and thundery, especially in Eastern areas and with the slow moving nature of the showers, some areas will experience localised heavy rainfall. Showers will still build in other areas of Scotland but won’t be as heavy and will be well scattered. The Northern Isles should remain dry for much of the day but may stay rather cloudy. Temperatures between 13°c - 17°c. NI has some showers to contend with this morning but conditions will brighten up for a time before more showers build again, out of the showers there will be some sunny spells. The Isle of Man may see one or two showers but will remain generally dry with some sunny spells, especially in the afternoon. Temperatures for NI & the Isle of Man will be around 15°c Stuart
