Good morning! How are we faithing? It strikes me that the Bible was written two millenia ago and yet the same things go on today in every bodies life. The same principles, problems exist today that did then. It shows people are the same as when designed and we do tend to repeat same behavior all be it with different stuff. I see my friend and family struggle to keep their head above water and I read about the same thing in the Word. It seems to continually repeat just like many things throughout history. This can be a blessing because even when we feel alone or like were the only ones going through this we find we are not and it also seems to be a curse sometimes because we cant seem to rise above. Its ok if you are struggling as long as you realize these things. Yes it sucks but you will survive by keeping your eyes on the Lord. Utopian ideals are not possible on this orb because the people in charge are humans too and their desires and influences cause the same actions and reactions over and over again. Read any competent account of historical events and this hypothesis bears out. All this is to tell you to be of good cheer because our struggles are not any worse than any one elses, they are just different to you at this point in time. 1Pe 4:12-14 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christs sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified Heavenly Father, Thank you for your grace that saves a wretch like me. Thank you for your Word that encourages us. Help us have courage and grant us wisdom to see and seek truth and not be blinded by folly. Bless our children of all ages and keep our leaders mindful of your morals and leadings. In Jesus name, amen
