Good morning. I hope you enjoyed the news on your Carnival Vista yesterday. Certainly the press seemed to appreciate the event and enjoyed the Carnival hospitality and most importantly they seemed massively enthused about your new ship. Today we will do it all over again for 300 or so travel agents and then again on Saturday for those from the New York area who will come and see us. I know you have lots of questions about your Carnival Vista and I will be available to you on Tuesday next week when I am on the Breeze to answer them for you. Oh and yes, despite what I am told appeared on Cruise Critic boards to the contrary…………… there is casino. I had some time yesterday afternoon to walk to Times Square and show my daughter the lights and the screens and take in this extraordinary place. You know, I often hear that New Yorkers have the reputation of being rude. Every time I have come here I have never really found that until yesterday. We were walking three a breast with Heidi and Kye walking side by side with us holding her hands. As we walked a man shouted Get out the way in an unmistakable New York accent. But that’s it. Yes, New Yorkers are direct and having sailed out of New York on ships full of locals I know they say what they mean and I respect that and I enjoy that. In the UK the northern people are considered friendlier and more helpful and caring than southerners so I wonder if New Yorkers have this reputation unfairly? Anyway, I love NY…………….so why do they have the reputation of not loving us. I will be back here on Facebook as soon as I have a moment spare cheers
