Good morning :) In Leviticus 2 we read about the grain offering which was made as a form of worship to God, rather than as an atonement for sin. When I first read the chapter I thought that grain was a less valuable offering than meat, but of course for the Jews living in the wilderness grain was pretty hard to come by. And again theyre instructed to offer the best of what they have. Sacrificing the best of their scarce and important resource demonstrated faith in God, that He would continue to provide for His people. Do you feel able to give sacrificially (of whatever resources are relevant to you, not necessarily financial) and trust in God to provide for you? For me its a struggle; I can happily give some of my resources, but in some areas I feel I hold back (and tell myself its ok because Ive done x, y and z). And if Im honest I know that giving within my comfort zone and holding back the rest isnt really good enough ~ Sarah biblegateway/passage/?search=Leviticus+2&version=NIV
