Good morning! It is almost Friday! Woo-Hoo! Tomorrow is another music performance for the amazing band my son is a very small part of at Disneys California Adventure. My Dad who can barely cope with going to any theme park is taking the day off tomorrow to watch Sebastian. Evil mom me is making Miranda attend school. Muhhahaha Also got an email yesterday from someone I have known for years who has set up an appointment for my son to be seen by a head person at a school, which could be an in to a school which I believe is ranked in the top #10 of high schools in Southern California. For those of you who dont know, my son is probably exiting out a program which he has been in for years for high-functioning autistic students, and much of this Fall/ Winter we have been touring and applying to high schools where he will have the academic opportunities he wants to pursue (science, math, music, computers, tech), but still has some safety nets such as speech therapy offered and some sort of case manager to check up on him. It is a bit scary thinking my son will probably have to cope with some denial letters, but also good practice to see what college applications, testing, and interviews will be like in the years to come.
