Nice day for PDX today while California gets washed out with up to 6 inches of rain in LA County...not good on hillsides that are bare-naked from wildfires. The edge of that rain will venture north toward us while cold air filters south--uh-oh!--but the smart people say PDX should be OK, while the Gorge could get some wintery precip. Portland teachers ratify contract. We switch to daylight time next weekend. Oscars this Sunday night. It was a year ago that Pope Benedict resigned, and I wish we knew the real story. Todays the 60th birthday of color TV. Interesting birthdays tomorrow: Ron Howard turns 60, Roger Daltrey turns 70. Justin Bieber has made it to 20. Which reminds me: somebody did a graphic analysis of the lyrical content of Billboard hits over the past few decades and just guess what they found.
