Good morning Lincoln County here’s what’s happening. A total of 19 Forest Service firefighters are assigned to the Pancho Fire and have completed 80 percent containment on the 7.6-acre fire about 12 miles east, northeast of Capitan, NM. The fire started by lightning. The Lincoln National Forest will be scaling the fire restrictions back to Stage I Fire Restrictions will go into effect tomorrow at 8 a.m. which prohibit campfires and charcoal grills; except in Forest Service designated recreation sites and campgrounds where grills and fire rings are provided. The precautionary boil alert that was put in effect Friday evening for the Village of Ruidoso Water System remains in effect at this time Governor Susana Martinez is reminding students on summer vacation that all forms related to the Summer Reading Challenges need to be in by August 1st.
