Good morning Nigerians @ home and in the Diaspora, and all who wish this nation well. Rivers state situation has been a major news heading in the media. Rivers state is a state in Nigeria, the safty of the live and proprty of the people shuld a priorty. I just read an open letter to the executive governor of the state on FB this morning from an ex-governor, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, I must confess I was thrilled! I tried to write a meaningful post to express my dissatisfaction with the events that mking the news and only one statement comes to mind: FIFTH SCHEDULE, CODE OF CONDUCT FOR PUBLIC OFFICERS, PART 1, SECTION 1, NIGERIAN CONSTITUTION, 1999, It says, "A public officer shall not put himself in position where his personl interest conflicts with his duties and responsibilities." If your quest for leadership and goverance causes restiveness to the people you want to lead or governed then it is a matter of time before things fall apart! This is Nigeria, great people, great nation!
