Good morning... Risk of Severe Weather: Nil Significant Weather: Fog Patches/Hill Fog Wind: SW’ly light or moderate, locally fresh across Scotland and Ireland. Summary: Patchy rain and showers across Scotland, Ireland, N England and Wales, otherwise mostly cloudy but mainly dry. Forecast: A relatively mild start to the day especially compared with yesterday morning, with a large portion of the UK starting Monday dry too. As the rest of the morning progresses some patchy rain, showers or drizzle is possible in places across more western areas including; Scotland, N England, Wales, Ireland and SW England, but with no significant precipitation expected. For most areas the rest of the morning will be grey, mild but predominantly dry. Into the afternoon and no significant changes are to be expected. Some brief brighter intervals may develop in places, perhaps S England and NE England favoured spots, but for most areas it is mostly cloudy and a grey afternoon. Further patchy rain and showers (or drizzle) is possible too for more northern and western areas of the UK. Extensive low cloud and hill fog may well persist all day across the hills and mountains of Scotland, N England and Wales as well. Into the evening and a more significant band of rain will move into Scotland and Ireland and this will slowly move south-east into the overnight period, whilst ahead of it this evening and overnight will continue to be dry but overcast and grey. Temperatures will be markedly higher than Sunday with maximum temperatures above average today with highs ranging between 6C and 10C generally, though locally up to 11C or 12C across Ireland and SW England.
