Good morning Roscommon County! Stepped on to the porch with my coffee a few minutes ago and took a big whiff. As I stood on the bottom step the sound of the crickets was deafening. The musty smell of the rain, dew and lawn just overwhelms your senses. Its hard to accept that Labor Day is this weekend. Seems like Ive spent the better part of this summer working. Just one of those things I suppose. But I am making a promise to myself that next summer, I will not work all but one weekend like I have this summer. I will hike to a waterfall somewhere. And I will spend more time with my family, even though they are spread out all over the place. But for the time being, my brother and nephew will be up to work on deer blinds. Well cut some lanes and go to the Sand Lake Yacht Club for dinner. Have a beer and maybe hop into Round Lake. And it will be fun. Next summer will be different. Or as Bud Holland used to say: You only have so many summers in your life. Dont waste too many of them working too much. What is on the agenda? -- Mark
