Good morning Saints.........1 Timothy 1:8-11 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully; Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust. The law is for rebellious people. Israel was rebellious throughout the Old Testament. Time and time again their sin was revealed to them through judges, prophets, and various Kings. It is due only to God’s faithfulness that people continue to live under mercy and are offered grace through faith in Christ Jesus. In Christ Jesus, we are made righteous and no longer under the law. Romans 5:19 says, “For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.” Romans 10:10 says, “For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”. 2 Cor. 5:21 says, “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” Repent, and live according to God’s delight.
