Good morning. September 11, 2014. Its been 13 years. A friend posted last night he had been talking to a 7th grade student, and it was strange that child hadnt even been born on that day. Just like our parents and grandparents recounted the real stories of WWI, WWII, Korea, and Vietnam, we must never forget, and tell future generations and current generations the truth. Not the version that some have tried to alter, but the truth that on that morning 13 years ago, every single solitary American was terrified, yet so very very proud. For a time we were simply Americans. No extras on that. Our races and ethnicities didnt matter. Now, 13 years later, our races and ethnicities and religious and political beliefs are as concrete walls, dividing even families. I challenge every one of you who remembers, if you are building one of those walks, tear it down! Our diversity has always been our strength, that we could stand together as a nation even with such vastly different backgrounds. So lets stop using our diversity to destroy. Those who died 13 years ago today, whose blood stained forever our national consciousness, deserve no less. Have a great Thursday!
