Good morning! So, Im going to dial back... for a few days. (Barring any more horrible) Focus on the holiday, focus on positives. Part of that will be my continued support for this Homeless Outreach event going on in San Fran today and Friday: #BeRobin. It is - in my mind - guerrilla war against the homeless. Ive never seen anything like it. Its Fought on two fronts: 1) On the street, where Margaret Cho and a handful of street performers / buskers are out there with food, clothes... If people need money they can take some and obviously, any monies tossed in guitar cases and hats is there to be given to the homeless. Through a charity campaign, monies are being raised to help fund this. (gofundme/BeRobin) 2) But whatever is left over is going to amazing charities, like Larkin Street Youth Services. And thanks to good hearts, there will be monies left over. People have sponsored days - todays was sponsored by Rosie ODonnell fer Gods sake. Individuals can do things like Sponsor a Busker. Ive done a few things, but my favorite is sponsor a phone so the homeless can call a shelter, the VA, family or friend.
